We do not run third-party advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not build visitor profiles of the people who watch your film.
When you order an AI film, the photos you upload are used solely as identity references to generate stylized scenes of you. For that generation step, we send a defined set of your data to our AI subprocessors strictly to render your order, and for no other purpose:
Only what is needed to produce your order is sent, and only when you place one. We never use your photos to train models, to generate anyone else's likeness, or for marketing without your explicit permission. We do not sell any of this data. Generated output is moderated for safety, as described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
CineFolio runs on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1): storage, database, and hosting live there, with encryption at rest for private materials. Transactional email is sent via AWS SES. Some processors (payments, AI generation) may process data outside the EU under their standard contractual safeguards.
The studio console uses local storage and session tokens strictly to keep you signed in and remember your workspace state. The marketing site sets no advertising cookies. Premiered films carry a first-party view beacon that increments a daily counter — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site anything.
Your content stays as long as your account and films do. Unpublish removes a film from the public web immediately; hard delete permanently removes its releases, records, and stored files and frees your subdomain. Deleting your account removes your profile and content, except minimal records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (order history tied to payments). Deletion is real deletion, not a soft flag.
Data sent to AI subprocessors. The resume text, photos, and brief sent to our AI subprocessors are transmitted only to render your order. Our own copies of those materials are removed when you hard-delete the film or your account. Any copies retained by a subprocessor are governed by that provider's retention terms; if you need us to request deletion at a subprocessor on your behalf, email info@cinefolio.dev and we will pass on your erasure request.
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or erasure of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Most of it you can do yourself in the console; for the rest, email info@cinefolio.dev and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Hungary, the NAIH (naih.hu).
We process your data to perform our contract with you (producing and hosting your films), on your consent where we ask for it (e.g., featuring your premiere in the showcase), and on legitimate interest for keeping the platform secure and improving it — never in ways that override your rights.
If this policy changes materially, we update this page with a new effective date and notify account holders by email. Silence is never treated as consent for new uses of your data.
