These terms govern your use of CineFolio Studios ("CineFolio", "the studio", "we"). CineFolio is operated by Mohammed Ait El Qadi, an independent operator based in Budapest, Hungary. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Questions first? Write to info@cinefolio.dev — a human reads everything.
CineFolio produces and hosts cinematic portfolio websites. You provide a resume and a few photos; the studio — a combination of deterministic template engines and AI-directed production — builds a personal portfolio web app and premieres it on your own subdomain (yourname.cinefolio.dev). Films are versioned: every publish is a release, and releases can be rolled back.
CineFolio is self-serve software with hosting. We provide the tools and the infrastructure; you create and publish your own portfolio site from your own resume, photos, and brief. We are not a design agency and do not provide bespoke design services, custom development, or per-client creative direction beyond the automated production and the revision messages included with a paid plan. What you publish is your site, produced and controlled by you through the console.
Your use of CineFolio is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these terms. In short: content must depict only you or people who have consented, nothing sexual or NSFW, no impersonation, no deceptive resumes, and nothing illegal or hateful. Uploaded and generated content is screened by automated checks and by human review, and violations can lead to removal, suspension, or termination without refund. Please read the full policy before you publish.
You need an account to premiere a film. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and provide a working email address — order and delivery notices go there.
Every account includes one free AI film production and unrestricted use of The Set, our manual template engine. Free films are a genuine sample of the product, offered so you can try before paying. Accounts created before 12 July 2026 keep the three free productions they were originally promised. We may adjust the free allowance for new accounts as capacity requires; entitlements already granted — free or paid — are never reduced retroactively.
Limited engagements. On the free plan, a premiere born from an AI production screens publicly for 72 hours, then returns to your vault: the film and all its releases are preserved, your address stays reserved, and unlocking The Director's Cut revives it in one click. Premieres built with The Set, and every premiere on a paid plan, carry no time limit. Films published before this policy took effect are not affected.
The Director's Cut is a one-time purchase (US $99 unless stated otherwise at checkout). It includes three AI-directed productions (credits spent one per brief you send), revision messages to the director with every production, publication of up to three films, and hosting of your premiered films on your CineFolio subdomains for at least 12 months from purchase. After the first year, an optional hosting renewal ("Keep It Live") is offered at the price shown at checkout (currently US $39/year) — your film never disappears without notice, and your export is always available. Delivery is typically fast (often within the hour) but is not guaranteed to a fixed timetable — see the refund policy for what happens if we fail to deliver.
You retain all rights to what you upload (resume, photos, project images). By uploading, you grant CineFolio a limited license to store and process that material solely to produce, host, and support your films.
Your film is yours. You own the delivered portfolio — its pages, its generated scenes, its exported source — and you may premiere it on your own custom domain. CineFolio retains only a small credit line in the delivered work and the right to operate the hosting infrastructure it runs on. With your permission (never without), we may feature your premiere in our public showcase.
CineFolio uses an AI pipeline to generate images and video for your film. A few things you should understand about that output:
Paid purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Sold through Link, LLC) acting as merchant of record: they are the seller on your receipt, they handle payment data and applicable taxes (VAT/sales tax), and card details never touch CineFolio's servers. Prices are shown at checkout; taxes may be added based on your location. Refunds follow our refund policy.
CineFolio runs on serious infrastructure (versioned releases, instant rollback), and we work to keep premieres screening around the clock — but we are a small studio and provide the service "as is", without uptime warranties. Scheduled maintenance and provider incidents can interrupt availability. You can export your film's source at any time.
You can unpublish or hard-delete your films and account from the console at any time; hard deletion permanently removes releases, records, and stored files, and frees your subdomain. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Paid entitlements that were already delivered are not revoked by account closure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CineFolio's total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for employment outcomes — the film gets you the look; the interview is still yours to win. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including consumers' statutory rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protections of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are announced on this page with a new effective date, and by email for changes that affect paid entitlements. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
